Ingredients
Whole Lentils (Masoor Sabut) – 1 cup
Water – 2.5 – 3 cup
Turmeric – 1 tsp.
Salt to taste
Red Chili powder – 1/2 tsp.
Green Chili – 1 Chopped

Tadka
Oil – 2 teaspoons
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
Cloves – 3
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1tsp.
Red onion (Chopped) – 1 medium
Tomatoes – 2 Chopped
Generous dash of Garam masala
Curry powder

Instructions:

1. Wash lentils and drain.

2. Soak the lentils for 15-20 minutes.

3. Add Lentils in a deep pan with water

4. Add salt (cook on low-medium heat for 15-20 minutes)

Tadka

1. Add oil in a small pan (medium heat)

2. Add cimin seeds & fry.

3. Now add chopped onions. Fry until its get brown.

4. Add Ginger – Garlic Paste and fry for a minute.

5. Add tomatoes & mix it.

6. Add Green chili (fry for a minute or until tomatoes get soft)

7. Add All dry powders (Add Garam masala and Kasuri methi later)

8. Now add this mixture in boiled dal

9. Mix it well with spoon

10. Now add garam masala & Kasuri methi

11. Add coriander leaves for garnish.
