Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dried green peas, soaked overnight
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 3 chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ½ tsp jeera powder
  • ½ tsp methi powder
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp dhania powder
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • A pinch of sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil

Method:

  • Lightly sauté the onions
  • Add the chopped tomatoes and cook till mushy
  • Cool and blend
  • In a pressure pan heat oil and add ginger garlic paste
  • Add the onion tomato mixture and cook
  • Add dry powders and cook further
  • Add water and soaked peas and pressure cook till done
  • Add garam masala powder and then garnish with coriander leaves
  • Serve hot with chapattis, parathas or rice
